PLEXUS
My series of work called “Plexus” was based around complex systems and connections. A plexus is a multi-linear network with an intricate combination of elements in a coherent structure. It has a multiplicity of local connections within the single continuous system that remains open to new motions and fluctuations. A plexus describes a multiplicity of local connections within a single continuous system that remains open to new motions and fluctuations. This series was created by building complex three-dimensional structures using hand cut and measured glass which is then fused into a system of voids and transparent grids to make wall sculptures. This series was made as part of my Bachelor of Fine Art with Honours at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Plexus #5 was aquired by the La Trobe Regional Gallery in Morwell, Australia in 2004.
