JENNIFER KING

In opposition to my previous clear and transparent glass sculptures which refract light, my black opaque glass sculptures reflect light and the space around the object on its surface. The textures of the surface are more visible, the edges of the work are more defined and the gaps of light between the fused pieces of glass are highlighted. By using black glass, the form has more visual mass and density.
